Carol Ann Krehbiel Judd, a 75-year-old resident of Greenwich, CT, died on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 at Greenwich Woods.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at the Second Congregational Church in Greenwich.
Mrs. Judd was born on Dec. 9, 1938 in Trenton, the daughter of Robert and Christine Krehbiel. She graduated from the University of Missouri and was a member of Psi Beta Phi sorority. She received a master’s degree in music education from the University of Michigan and moved to St. Louis to start her family. She later lived in Oklahoma City, OK, where she headed the music education program for the Oklahoma City Symphony.
Mrs. Judd moved to Greenwich in 1976. She worked as an insurance broker/agent for Newell Hoppe Insurance for 20 years and also taught piano. She was a long-time member of the Second Congregational Church, where she was active in the music program and a member of the church choir for 25 years.
She enjoyed and surrounded herself with music and the arts, from the flute and piano to singing in the church choir to her regular visits to one of New York’s many cultural venues. She was also an accomplished photographer whose portfolio included all of her trips here and abroad, especially Taos, NM.
Mrs. Judd was a member of PEO for 50 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading to her grandchildren.
Mrs. Judd is survived by a daughter, Kelley D. LeRose; two grandchildren, Alexandra LeRose and Meghan LeRose; and a brother, Randall D. Krehbiel.
She was preceded in death by a son, David B. Judd.
