Sonja Phae Reaves, a 45-year-old resident of Urbandale, IA, died on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 at her home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today (Monday, Dec. 8, 2014) at the Lineville First Baptist Church in Lineville, IA with Pastor Kenny Wilson officiating.
Ms. Reaves was born on July 11, 1969 in Leon, IA, the daughter of Raymond Eugene and Norma Deane Day Reaves. She was raised in Lineville, where she was a 1987 graduate of Lineville-Clio High School. She later attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA, for two years.
She was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes as well as a fan of Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Bengals. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, cross stitching, was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Sonja lived in the Des Moines, IA, area most of her adult life, where she worked as an administrative assistant at the Iowa Student Loan Center.
She is survived by her mother, Norma Reaves of Lineville; her sister and housemate, Robin Reaves of Urbandale; two brothers, Kevin and Lance Reaves of Lineville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and by her father.
Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Lineville was in charge of arrangements.
