As final preparations near for the 2014 High School Holiday Hoops, a one-hour training session has been organized for both first time and repeat hosts for the annual event.
Volunteers who have agreed to serve as respective team hosts are invited to attend a session scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 in the Sugg Room of the Ketcham Community Center. Final details will be presented on hosting responsibilities as well as discussion on the final schedule for the 10th annual event. Individuals who have volunteered their services during the 10-day event are encouraged to attend as well as contact either Ron Dougan or Don Warren to verify their assignments. Holiday Hoops 2014 tips off on Dec. 19 and concludes on Jan. 3, 2015 with a record number of 101 teams participating. Volunteers are still being accepted for many positions and are asked to contact Dougan, Warren or Hoops Director Steve Maxey.
