NCMC Weather Procedures

Nov 26, 2014 | Headline News

North Central Missouri College will observe the following procedures when winter weather conditions make traveling hazardous.
Every effort will be made to provide announcements as to delayed starts, class cancellations, and college closures prior to 5:30 a.m. If hazardous weather develops during the day, an announcement will be made by 3 p.m. regarding late afternoon and evening classes. Announcements for weather closures will be made on NCMC’s website and phone system, the Community Connection alert system, three television stations (KCTV 5, KMBC 9, and KTVO 3), and multiple local radio stations (Bethany, Brookfield, Cameron, Carrollton, Chillicothe, Gallatin, Kirksville and Trenton).
If a delayed start is announced on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday, classes will begin with the regularly-scheduled 9 a.m. class. If a delayed start occurs on a Tuesday or Thursday, classes will begin with the regularly-scheduled 9:30 a.m. class.
All non-faculty employees are expected to work unless the college is closed. However, in special instances, certain essential employees will be expected to work regardless of whether the college is closed.
