The Princeton Chamber of Commerce met on Nov. 12 with seven members present.
A report of the thank you dinner for Calamity Jane Day volunteers was given. Bids are still being sought to fix the Cow Palace. Donna Herdrich gave us an update on the Big Bam Bicycle Ride coming through north Missouri in June. They will be in Princeton for lunch time and people will be needed to sell food that day.
The bandstand will be decorated for the holidays on the first warm day, with the chamber providing greenery to the downtown businesses and each business will be asked to decorate their own lamp post.
There was a discussion concerning an author who wrote a book about Calamity Jane, but is asking for $1,200 to travel Princeton for Calamity Jane Day. It was decided not to contact him.
The Pedal Pull is charging $50 more for next year, but it was voted to continue with this activity.
It was voted not to charge the FFA to use the Cow Placed for their auction as they helped so much in cleaning after the storm and before the auction.
It was voted to have Santa on Dec.13 from 10 a.m. to noon. Donuts and hot chocolate will be sold. There will be a Santa Store with inexpensive gifts for the children to buy for their family. It was voted to get the Honor Wall for Calamity Jane Day this year as this will be the last year for it to be in Missouri.
