Purchasing Committee OKs Bids

The Purchasing Committee of the Trenton City Council met this morning at city hall and approved two bids involving Trenton Municipal Utilities.
City Administrator Kerry Sampson said the committee voted to accept a bid of $11,786 from Arkansas Electric for the purchase of 38 wooden polls as well as a bid of $21,027.45 for materials, all of which will be used for the extension of electrical service to the city’s industrial park. The bids were the lowest of those received and had been approved by the Board of Public Works during its meeting on Tuesday night.
Also approved was a bid for hail storm damage repair from Midwest Storm Restoration in the amount of $12,057.25. it was the lowest of two received and had also been approved by the BPW.
