Helping Hands 4-H Club Meets

Members of the Helping Hands 4-H Club met on Oct. 22 at the First Christian Church in Trenton.
President Wyatt Neal called the meeting to order. Anna Hines and Latorrie Johnson led the pledges to the U.S. and 4-H flags. Roll call was answered by having members guess how many candies were in the jar, which was 54. Ann Haines was the closest at 50.
The club leader reported on national 4-H Week activities as well as the 4-H Recognition Day activities.
Installation of new officers was held using a puzzle theme. The officers are Wyatt Neal, president; Elle Neal, vice president; Latorrie Johnson, secretary; Tegan Kelsall, treasurer; Anna Hines, reporter; Gaven Kelsall, historian; and Levi Johnson, club representative. Song and game leader will be all members of the club.
It was decided to do a club Christmas service project.
At the Nov. 12 meeting, members met at the Pizza Hut. Wyatt Neal called the meeting to order and Gaven Kelsall and Levi Johnson led the pledges to the U.S. and 4-H flag. Roll call was answered by members telling their favorite candy bar.
Members were reminded to bring a gift to the next meeting for the Christmas service project. Those who attended Recognition Day told what they had accomplished and received for the last 4-H year. It was decided to do the MOVE project as a club and each member is to bring a neutral gift to exchange with each other at the December meeting.
Two new members were present, Grasyn and Mason Rongey. 4-H dues for the new year were discussed and turned in. The meeting was adjourned and members enjoyed pizza refreshments. Gaven Kelsall led the “Guess What’s On Your Back” game.
The next meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the First Christian Church. The Johnson family will have refreshments.
