As part of the Trenton Downtown Christmas program on Friday, Dec. 5, there will be the traditional lighting of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree in the Sesquicentennial Park.
This event begins at 5:30 p.m. and assisting the mayor will be a youth between the ages of three and nine who will be selected by drawing from entries made at downtown businesses. Entries can be made during business hours at The Barn, the North Grand River Baptist Association, Citizens Bank and Trust, Main Street Mall, Howard’s Department Store, Lucky Dog Embroidery, Trenton Hardware, North Central Missouri College, Tim’s Barber Shop, the Grand River Press and KTTN.
Downtown Christmas activities will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 5. A complete list of activities will be announced later.
