Judge Steven D. Hudson
The following cases were heard by Mercer County Associate Judge Brad Funk in the absence of Judge Hudson.
Tyler Carpenter, 20, Laredo, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of operating a motor vehicle with defective brakes and was fined $200 and $68.50 costs. He also changed his plea to guilty on a charge of driving while intoxicated and had imposition of his sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for two years and is to donate $300 to the Grundy County Law Enforcement Fund and pay $116.50 costs.
Gregory L. Worthey, 42, Trenton, waived his preliminary hearing and had his case bound over to the Circuit Division on a charge of driving while intoxicated-aggravated offender. Charges of failing to register an out-of-state vehicle in Missouri when a Missouri resident and driving while revoked were certified to the Circuit Division. He was scheduled to appear in court again today.
Nathan Vandevender, 35, Trenton, waived his preliminary hearing and had his case bound over to the Circuit Division on a charge of criminal non-support. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 11.
Jeffrey Inlow, Otterville, waived his preliminary hearing and had his case bound over to the Circuit Division on a charge of non-support. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 11.
Samuel G. Adams, 27, Trenton, pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Robin R. Burton, Lincoln, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of passing bad checks and was fined $200, $116.50 costs and is to make restitution of $750.
JoAnn R. Davis, 23, Trenton, waived formal arraignment and pleaded guilty to one count of passing bad checks and was fined $200 and $116.50 costs, with a second count dismissed. She is also to pay $533.27 restitution.
Christopher S. Owen, 34, Princeton, admitting violating the terms of his probation on an original charge of stealing and was ordered to serve his 30-day sentence in the Grundy County Detention Center, with credit given for time served.
Michael N. Washburn, 37, Trenton, pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
