Dalton Ellis, for instance, finished his Trenton football career with 1,232 career passing yards, ranking him fourth in school history. That, combined with his leadership and effort, earned him the top honor on the night, the Mr. Football Award. Trey Shields took the Defensive MVP award after a season that saw him collect 131 tackles and Bailey Owen was named the team’s offensive MVP after collecting 513 rushing yards, 63 receiving yards and a team-high eight total touchdowns.
Other awards presented on the night included the Outstanding Offensive Lineman, which went to Nick Gass; the Special Teams Player Of The Year, which went to Travis Leeper; the Scout Team player Of The Year, which went to Isaiah Coon; the Hustle And Desire Award, which went to Gavin Griffin; the Most Improved Player Of The Year, which went to Jonathan Lamp; the Hitman Award, which went to Aaron Anderson; the Outstanding Junior, which went to Kail McCarter; the Outstanding Sophomore, which went to Austin Burkeybile; and the Outstanding Freshman, which went to Mason Owen.
The banquet also included recognition of cheerleaders and managers.
