THS Girls Volleyball Team Falls In Savannah, 2-0

The Trenton High School volleyball team was on the road Tuesday night, taking on the Savannah Lady Savages. Trenton was unable to return home with a win as Savannah took the match handily, 25-6, 25-9.
Trenton was led in the loss by Alex Ewald, who had one ace, two assists and eight digs. Lakisha Hughs, Tomi Delp, Sarah Walker and Morganne Farmer all had one kill each in the match.
Trenton, now 5-16-3, will compete in the Class 2, District 14 Tournament next week in Concordia. Trenton opens play in the district tournament on Monday, taking on Lexington (3-11). First serve for the match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The winner advances to the semifinals to take on top-seeded St. Paul Lutheran on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Concordia.
