Spickard, Princeton Councils Meet

Refunds and service contracts were considered during meetings of the Spickard and Princeton city councils on Monday night.
Spickard
Utility-related action was taken during a meeting of the Spickard City Council.
City Clerk April Meighen reported that the council agreed to abate a sewer charge for Ramona Baker, due to a leak. Also approved was the return of a meter deposit to Wendell Tharp.
A contract with All State Consultants regarding the city’s lagoon updates has been sent to the city attorney for review. Once approval is given by the attorney, the contract will be signed by the city.
The next meeting of the Spickard Council is Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Princeton
The Princeton City Council approved two service contracts during its meeting.
Assistant City Clerk Danette Summers said that the council approved a $50 service contract request from the Princeton Chamber of Commerce for Felicia Bertrand, who performed at the Calamity Jane Day Celebration. Also approved was a $200 service contract for the Princeton High School Band to perform at PHS Homecoming activities on the square this Friday.
A closed session was held for legal matters.
The council will next meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10.
