The Trenton Lady Bulldogs volleyball team was in action on the road on Tuesday night, traveling to Lathrop. Trenton had a tough time against the Lady Mules, falling in straight games 25-17, 25-15.
Alex Ewald led the way for Trenton with 10 assists, 14 digs and an ace. Lakisha Hughs had 10 kills and 10 digs.
With the loss, Trenton fell to 4-9-3 on the season. The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action on Monday, traveling to Lexington for a match at 5 p.m.
Middle School
Trenton’s middle school volleyball team kept up its winning ways, scoring a three-set victory over Hamilton. Karli Provorse led the way with seven kills and four aces and Carly Taul added five aces.
The TMS B team won in three sets as well. Mackenzie Klinginsmith had eight aces to lead the B team. Bekah Allen had five aces, Teresa Burkholder had four aces and Maci Henson finished with six kills.
“Our serving and hitting tonight was fantastic,” TMS Coach Amanda King said. “I had a number of girls from both teams who had amazing serving nights. As a coach I love having confident servers and that worked in our favor tonight. I am really impressed with how hard all the girls played tonight.”
The TMS team will be at home on Monday, taking on Kirksville at 5 p.m.
