Reva Carr, an 81-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, at Morningside Center in Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Stucker Cemetery at Laredo.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014 at the funeral home, where open visitation is scheduled from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Mrs. Carr was born on Oct. 22, 1932 in Cainsville, the daughter of Robert Cecil and Bea Sweeten Baldwin. She was a 1950 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe.
She was married in Bucklin on Sept. 1, 1951 to Ernest Junior Carr, who preceded her in death on November 9, 2003.
Mrs. Carr worked as a functional unit manager at the Chillicothe Correctional Center where she retired on May 31, 1996. She also retired from OATS in 2012. She was a member of the Highview Baptist Church in Chillicothe, where she enjoyed playing the piano. She was a past president of RSVP, participated in the HMC Auxiliary and shared her ragtime piano playing at several local nursing homes.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Anderson and her husband, Bill of Galt and Kathy Meinecke of Chillicothe; two sons, Jimmy Carr and his wife, Sara of Wheeling and Roger Carr and his wife Kathy of Chillicothe; two sisters, Imogene Grouse and her husband, Bob of Chillicothe, and Janice Coyle of Florida; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one grandchild, Tina Anne Gilliam; three brothers, Don, Dean and Wayne Baldwin; and two sisters, Betty Grimes and Madilyn Pendelton.
