Middle School A Team Picks Up 9-6 Win

The Trenton Middle School softball program drew a split with Plattsburg on Monday night on Johnson Field in Trenton, winning the A game 9-6 and dropping the B game 4-3.
In the A game, Trenton scored the three-run victory . Ainsley Tolson was the winning pitcher, throwing seven innings and allowing six runs, four earned, on eight hits and two walks while striking out 13 batters.
Offensively, Salem Croy was two-for-four with a triple, two runs scored and two RBIs. Sidney Lynch was two-for-four with a run scored and Taylor Richman finished one-for-three with a double, a walk and two runs scored. Trenton also got a hit, walk and run scored from Mykah Hurley and a hit and a stolen base from McKayla Blackburn.
With the victory, the TMS A team moved to 4-0 on the season.
In the B game, Trenton came up just one run short. Blackburn took the loss in the circle, throwing three innings, striking out four and walking one. Kendall Crowley, McKenna Dolan and Libby Fewins scored the three Lady Bulldog runs.
Trenton’s middle school softball teams are back in action tonight, playing host to Hamilton on Johnson Field at 5 p.m.
