TMS Tops Carrollton

Sep 12, 2014 | Football, Sports & Recreation

The Trenton Middle School football team got its season started off strongly on Tuesday, picking up a 34-6 win on the road in Carrollton.
Trenton scored five touchdowns in the game, three coming from Trey Webb, one from Isaac Harris and one from Jose Velazquez. Trenton was two-for-five on two-point conversions with Harris running in one and Webb carrying in the other.
“Our kids played well on all sides of the ball,” TMS Head Coach Kasey Bailey said. “Coach (Jon) Guthrie’s defense was able to shut down their spread offense with great play from our linebackers. Our offensive line executed very well, creating holes in a five-front defense comprised of some pretty big middle school kids.”
Trenton’s middle school team is now 1-0 on the season and travels to Polo on Tuesday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
