Lady Bulldogs Place Fourth At Schuyler

The Trenton High School girls’ golf team placed fourth out of five teams on Thursday at the Schuyler County Tournament in Lancaster. Trenton as a team carded a score of 470, finishing behind champion Kirksville (357), Brookfield (384), and Putnam County (4190. Host-school Schuyler County was fifth with a score of 653.
Leading the way for Trenton was Caitlin McNabb, who shot a 110, and Karley McCollum, who shot a 112. Behind that duo, Trenton got a 120 from Jordain Oshel, a 128 from Lana Raymo and a 129 from Lauren Schmidt.
“The girls are really improving,” Lady Bulldogs’ Head Coach Jeremy Austin said. “I think they are getting more comfortable with their game. It was a great tournament for us and I am very proud of the team.”
The Trenton golfers will be back in tournament action on Tuesday in Gallatin. Tee time for the event is set for 9 a.m.
