Princeton Falls At Putnam

Sep 2, 2014 | Football, Sports & Recreation

The Princeton Tigers traveled to Unionville on Friday night, where they fell 30-6 to the Putnam County Midgets.
Princeton fell behind early and never recovered. A penalty took away a Tiger touchdown in the first half and Putnam County went into the locker room up 16-0.
In the second half, Princeton was able to get on the board on a pass from quarterback Brant Faulkner to Jason McLain. The same duo produced Princeton’s touchdown in week one as well.
That would be all the Tigers would get, however, as Putnam County tacked on two more touchdowns to pull away for the 30-6 win.
The loss came to a Putnam County team that Princeton defeated last season for its only win of the year. With the loss, the Tigers fell to 0-2 overall on the season.
Princeton will be back in action this Friday against South Harrison as the Tigers kick off the Grand River Conference portion of their schedule at Eddie Allen Field in Princeton. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
