Trenton Woman Hurt In Accident

Aug 29, 2014 | Headline News

A Trenton woman received moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon west of Trenton.
Beverly Harrison, 74, was taken by private vehicle to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton for treatment of her injuries. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Mrs. Harrison was the driver of a car that was eastbound on Highway 6 and had stopped to make a left turn onto a gravel road when it was struck by a van driven by David Baker, 37, of Trenton, as the van attempted to pass the Harrison vehicle while stopped. The impact caused both vehicles to go off the north side of the road and come to rest in a ditch.
Baker and two passengers in the Harrison vehicle, Roy Harrison and Barbara Adams, were not reported hurt. Both vehicles received moderate damage.
Trooper J.C. Gilliland investigated the accident, assisted by Sgt. Joe Rongey, Trooper J.W. George, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office and the Grundy County Emergency Medical Services.
