Police Chief Tommy Wright has issued suggestions regarding bulk trash pickup, which he said should minimize the time the trash sits at the curb.
• If the bulk trash can be bagged, put it in a bag. It will get picked up with normal trash. If residents have a lot of small bulk trash items, they will not be picked up unless they are in a can or in a bag.
• Residents with large items are asked to contact Rapid Removal, the city’s trash collection provider, to schedule a pickup time. The telephone number is 654-4287.
“Doing one or both of these things will keep your neighborhood beautiful and ensure that large items get picked up in a timely matter,” Chief Wright said.
