It’s probably not what they want to do, but students at Trenton High School have been returning to the school this week, registering for classes, which begin Wednesday, Aug. 20. Freshmen and sophomores had their turn today, with freshman orientation set for 7 p.m. tonight in the THS commons. Trenton Middle School students have also been registering this week, with fifth graders having their turn on Tuesday and sixth graders registering at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a mock schedule to follow for parents and students. Other activities going on prior to the start of school include the TMS Back to School Pool Party from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at the Trenton Family Aquatic Center (the cost is $3); Rissler Open House, 5 to 6 p.m. Aug. 18; iPad orientation for seventh graders and parents, 5:30 p.m. Aug. 18; and iPad orientation for eighth graders and parents, 5:30 p.m. Aug. 19.
