Beverly A. Harding Thomas, a 64-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 9, 2014 at Saint Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza in Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton with Rev. Tim Munday officiating. Burial will be in the Willis Chapel Cemetery, north of Brimson.
A family visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas was born on Sept. 20, 1949 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Raymond Earl and Dorothy Ilene Gardner Harding Sr. She attended Chillicothe schools and also obtain her CNA and medical technician certificates from Trenton Junior College. She was employed at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton and The Baptist Home and Livingston Manor, both of Chillicothe. Before retiring, she was also employed at Premium Standard Farms of Milan.
She was married on Nov. 13, 1965 at Chillicothe to James E. Thomas Sr., who preceded her death on March 6, 2004.
Survivors include three daughters, Diana Thomas of Kirksville, Christine Chaney and her husband, Rex of Brimson and Patricia Beaman of Chillicothe; one son, James E. Thomas Jr. and his wife, Becky of Green City; her mother, Dorothy Harding, one sister, Sharon Buckner and one brother, Raymond Harding Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, all of Chillicothe; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Harding Sr.; one sister, Mary Drew; and one daughter, Nancy Ragan.
