The Grundy County Commission will hold a public hearing on the 2014 property tax proposal at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at the Grundy County Courthouse.
The tax rate is proposed at $.1817 on the $100 assessed valuation. This is the figure after the sales tax rollback is figured into the rate. It is anticipated the property tax will bring in around $219,017.
