The Princeton R-5 Board of Education has issued a news release in regard to a meeting held July 3. Below is the release in its entirety:
“1. The Princeton Board of Education held a closed session on July 3rd to discuss pursuant to Section 610.021(3) of Missouri’s Sunshine Law.
2. All Board members were present.
3. Following the closed session, the Board reported that during the closed session they approved the closed session minutes from the closed session meeting on June 26, 2014. Board Member Larry Pollard made the motion and Phillip Rhoades seconded the motion, and pursuant to roll call vote. Board Members Larry Pollard, Phillip Rhoades, Rick Ellsworth, Ron Parsons, Karla Meinke, Dirk Schwartzkopf and Aaron Franklin voted in favor of the motion.
4. The Board adjourned.”
During the June 26 closed session, the board placed Superintendent Dr. Terry Mayfield on a paid leave of absence. No other announcement concerning that leave of absence has been made. The next regular meeting is scheduled for July 14.
