The Princeton City Council met Monday evening, approving a service contract, discussing open burning and approving the repair of a storm drain.
According to information provided by City Clerk Keri Stamper, the council approved a service contract in the amount of $600 for the Calamity Jane Car Show. The funds will be used for the band “Hired Hand.” A discussion was held on the ordinance involving open burning and it was agreed to contact the state to see if the ordinance needs to be updated. The council approved the replacement of a storm drain at the water plant, with an estimated cost of $3,000.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4.
