The Trenton Lions Club met on Tuesday at the Lakeview Restaurant and began the transition to new officers for the coming year. There were nine members present.
Seth Cox received a pin as new president from the outgoing president, Jim Cox. Chad Davis is the treasurer and Becky Albrecht is the secretary.
The club approved a donation of $120 to the Gooseberry festival and approved the menu prices for the North Central Fair grandstand concession area, including the addition of brisket sandwiches. There was also discussion of concession sales at the Gooseberry festival and sponsorships of local youth to attend Boys State, Girls State and the Leadership in Practice program. It was also voted to secure a banner for the NCM Fair concessions to promote the club and its donations to the community.
The next meeting will be at noon on July 15.
