A tractor parade is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tractors will meet at Princeton High School, where they will travel east on Hickland Street and onto the Princeton Square, turning right on Broadway and traveling past Pearl’s I Eden for Elders and then east on Casteel to College. The group will then travel to Pearl’s II Eden for Elders, coming back to the high school for the remainder of the evening activities.
A meal fundraiser, sponsored by the Stacy Multipurpose Center Board, will be held at 6 p.m., with the Princeton Chamber of Commerce giving away free watermelon as well as holding a raffle. There will also be a sale of past Calamity Jane Day t-shirts as well as the current tractor cruise t-shirt.
Entertainment gets under way at 7 p.m. at the football field, featuring local musicians and dancers interspersed with talks from local political candidates. Fireworks, funded through the county’s band tax, will be shot off at dusk by pyrotechnician Glen Kirby, assisted by the Mercer County Rural Fire Protection District and local EMT’s.
In addition, the Princeton Alumni Association will hold its annual meeting at 5 p.m. at the Stacy Center. The 2014 outstanding alumni recipients will be recognized and refreshments will be served.
