The Yellow Creek Ducks Unlimited annual Greenwing Day will be held on June 21 at the Fountain Grove Conservation Area south of Meadville. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to all kids up to age 17 years of age.
There will be exhibit and interactive stations covering various aspects of waterfowl hunting, including a decoy booth, dog retrieving exhibition, archery and trap shooting stations, waterfowl identification and much more.
The event is free and includes food and calling contests. Lunch will be provided by the Swan lake Sportsman’s Club from noon to 2 p.m. and the duck calling contest begins at 2:30 p.m. with first, second and third-place prizes for various age groups. Youth and adult raffle drawings will be going on all day long.
