Participants in the Upward Bound Program at North Central Missouri College participated in various community service projects in Trenton on Thursday, June 5. They volunteered at the Trenton Parks Department, Green Hills Animal Shelter, Green Hills Women’s Shelter, Community Food Pantry, the North 65 Center and the community garden. The students spent all day at these locations where they helped complete projects, maintain areas and assist with other duties. Upward Bound is a grant funded program that assists high school students prepare, achieve and accomplish high school graduation and then successfully enroll in postsecondary education. North Central Missouri College’s UB program serves students from Trenton, Chillicothe, Gallatin, Hamilton, Jamesport and Galt school districts.
