FFDD Transportation Provided

Transportation will be provided for individuals with disabilities who will be participating in two upcoming activities.
The Families and Friends of the Developmentally Disabled of Grundy County will have transportation available on Sunday, June 8 for fishing activities at the Barton Farm Campus and on Monday, June 9 for the Chillicothe Mudcats game being played at Burleigh Grimes Field in Trenton.
The Sunday fishing activities will be held from 2 to 5:30 p.m. and will include a cookout after the fishing. The Missouri Department of Conservation and the Green Hills Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will be supervising the event. The bus will leave from the Friendship Apartments at 1:15 p.m. and arrive back at around 6 p.m.
The June 9 event features a baseball doubleheader between the Mudcats and Omaha, which gets under way at 6:05 p.m. There is no cost to attend the game for those with a disability or volunteering to help with this event. The free tickets for admission are available at the FFDD and should be picked up prior to the game. The bus will leave the Friendship Apartments at 5:30 p.m. and will return at approximately 8:45 p.m.
To make a reservation to ride on the FFDD mini-bus, persons should call 359-3285. Space is limited. Persons needing to be picked up at their home can call the same telephone number.
