Funeral services for Oma Faye Rinehart will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Barry Christian Church in Kansas City. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Humphreys cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Rinehart, an 84-year-old resident of Olathe, KS, died at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Homestead North of Olathe. She is a former Parkville and Humphreys resident.
Mrs. Rinehart was born on May 14, 1930 in Humphreys, the daughter of J.D. and Gladys Sharp Tipton. She was married on April 19, 1947 at the First Christian Church in Trenton to James “Jim” Rinehart. They ran a general store in Humphreys and a motel in Waverly. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Firestone.
Mrs. Rinehart enjoyed square dancing with the Silver Shoes, traveling, and listening to big band music.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita Hanson of Lenexa, KS; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Holzer and her husband, Steve of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
