Shirley Ann Speicher, a 76-year-old resident of Meadville, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be held at the Plainview Cemetery at Chula.
A family visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday at the funeral home. General visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Speicher was born in Chula on July 27, 1937, the daughter of Richard Chapman and Clara Eulav Dennis Thorne. She was a 1954 graduate from Laredo High School
She was married on Dec. 29, 1988 in Chillicothe to David “Spike” Speicher, who survives of the home.
She is also survived by two sons, Leslie Cook and his companion, Vickie Lingard of Meadville and David Speicher Jr. and his wife, Jodi of Sauk Rapids, MN; three daughters, Beverly Howe and her husband, Steve of Wheeling, Connie Burton and her husband, Nelson of Chillicothe and Renee Speicher and her husband, Rick Prigmore of Rolette, TX; two brothers Bill Thorne and his wife, Martha of Chillicothe and Dennis Thorne and his wife, Melinda of Chula; 11 grandchildren, including Tara Burkeybile and her husband, Bobby of Trenton and Misty Lingard and her fiancee, Nic Hanes of Trenton; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Bernice Thorne of Raytown; a brother-in-law, Dick Speicher of Wisconsin; and best friend and caregiver, Cheryl Braden of Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Dick “Richard” Thorne; and a granddaughter Leslie Ann Cook.
