As part of Saturday’s North Central Missouri College afternoon commencement ceremonies, 37 students of the Associate Degree Nursing Program will receive their pins.
Ceremonies will take place at 1 p.m. in the Ketcham Community Center and will also include presentation of degrees and certificates to students in all allied health programs at the college. Don Sipes, Vice President of Regional Services for Saint Luke’s Health System/Chief Executive Officer for Saint Luke’s North Hospital-Smithville, will be the guest speaker.
Students from Trenton include: Jesse Farmer, Nevada Fields, Misty Foster, Teresa Hamilton, Patrick Harrison, and Brittaney Oxford. Additional students to receive nursing pins are: Lindsey Moss, Pascaline Muhindura, Michelle Ulmer and Hannah Walker of Chillicothe; Bonnie Banion, Jessica Donelson, Cindy Porter and Cynthia Smith of Princeton; Alex Cabra, Ashley Eaton and Sierria Rainey of Gallatin; Kristina Hill, Tammy Jenkins and Tracy Tharp of Cameron; Amanda Fizer and Sarah LeVota of Kansas City; Olivia Derickson of Braymer; Tyler Goodman of Fillmore; Emily Hon and Amanda Railsback of Hamilton; Jessica Laswell of Mercer; Kaitlyn Maddex of Shelbyville; Kaley Ott of Smithville; Heidi Raymond of Napoleon; Trina Smith of Norborne; Jennifer Spease of Lexington; Cassie Switzer of Brookfield; Rebecca Thompson of Albany; Jessica Truitt of Purdin; Julie Veach of Milan; and Tiffany Webster of Macon.
The Dean of Allied Health is Janet Vanderpool, and nursing instructors for the class are Brooke McAtee, Patricia Compton, Callie Hunter and Jewell Harris.
Morning commencement ceremonies at NCMC are at 9 o’clock, also in the KCC, and will feature Missouri Commissioner of Higher Education Dr. David Russell as the speaker.
Between ceremonies, the Vicki Wheeler Honors Brunch will be held in Selby Hall on the NCMC campus. Recognition will be given to those students who rank the highest academically in their respective programs.
Approximately 450 students will be receiving diplomas and certificates during Saturday’s commencement exercises.
