THS Tennis Team Plays Final Game At Home

The Trenton High School boys’ tennis team held their final home meet of the season on Monday, hosting Kirksville in a dual at the THS Courts.
The Bulldogs got two wins on the day, but it wasn’t enough as the visitors took a 7-2 win over THS.
Both wins came in singles, with Trenton’s number one player Isaiah Swann getting a big 11-10 victory in his final home match as a senior. Leighton Fletchall had Trenton’s only other win, taking a 10-7 victory at number six singles.
Trenton singles players falling were Wilson Utley, 6-10; Alex Davis, 4-10; Chanse Houghton, 8-10; and Jacob Marlay, 1-10. In doubles action, Swann-Davis fell 7-9 at number one while Utley-Houghton teamed for a 2-8 loss at number two. Gannon Albrecht and Tyler Lynch fell at number three, 4-8.
Trenton is 3-6 in dual action and will be on the road today, taking on Wentworth at Lexington. The Bulldogs finish their regular season on Thursday, traveling to Cameron.
In JV action, Trenton lost 0-6. All matches were doubles. Trenton players in action were Jacob Davis-Brayden Herring, falling 5-7; Jacob Hall-Bryce Whitney, losing 3-6; Gavin Albrecht and Ellis Gilham, falling 3-6; Isaiah Lickteig and Logan Demsich, coming up short 0-6; Dylan Parrack and CJ Sibbit, losing 2-6; and Dylan May-Hall teaming up for a 1-6 loss.
