Norman Case, a 69-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Hillcrest Manor in Hamilton.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial was in the May Cemetery at Chula.
Mr. Case was born on April 7, 1945 in Chillicothe, the son of Walter and Garnett Lamp Case. He was a 1963 Chillicothe High School graduate.
He was married in Chillicothe on June 4, 1965 to Carolyn Perry, who survives of the home. He served in the Missouri National Guard Battery B, 1-129th Field Artillery of Chillicothe.
Mr. Case worked at Irvinbilt Company for 39 years, working his way up to the position of superintendent. He was a superintendent for 27 years, until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church, Chillicothe, and the Local Carpenters Union 110 of St. Joseph.
Survivors include, his wife, Carolyn of the home; one son, Steve Case and his wife, Julie of Chillicothe; one daughter, Angie Carson and her husband, Byron of Huxley, IA; a foster son, Ron Jarvis of Lakota, IA; nine grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Elaine Case of Chillicothe; and nephew Jody Case and his wife, Rhonda of Chillicothe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jason Andrew Case; a grandson, Justin Carson; and a brother, John Eugene Case.
