The Trenton Middle School track and field teams were at home on Tuesday, hosting the TMS Quad. Hamilton, South Harrison and Laredo competed, but none could top the Trenton squads as the Lady Bulldogs won with 217 team points and the Bulldogs won with 199 team points.
Lady Bulldogs
The Trenton girls landed 70 of their total points on seven first-place finishes. Ainsley Tolson won the triple jump with a mark of 27-4 and took home gold in the 400-meter dash as well, winning with a time of 1:11.97. Thelma Guerrero won the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.56 and Cassidy Trump won the pole vault, clearing 6-6. Jakolbie Stotts won the long jump with a mark of 12-9.5 and Salem Croy finished first in the discus with a throw of 73-3. Trenton also won the 4×100-meter relay as Guerrero, Trump, Stotts and Abbie Shuler combined to win with a time of 58.07.
In addition to Trenton winning seven events, the Lady Bulldogs had seven runner-up finishes and seven third-place finishes.
Taylor Richman was second in the high jump, Tolson was third in the high jump, Kayley Griffin was second in the pole vault and third in the 1,600-meter run, Guerrero was third in the long jump and third in the 100-meter dash, Shuler was second in the triple jump, Mykah Hurley was third in the triple jump, Croy was second in the shot put and third in the 400-meter dash, Elle Neal was second in the 1,600-meter run and Nicole Rodriguez was third in the 800-meter run.

Trenton’s 4×200-meter relay team of Trump, Shuler, Brandi Teal and Stotts was second and the 4×400-meter relay team of Laura Carlson, Richman, Croy and Tolson was second.
Bulldogs
The Trenton boys won seven events, including all three relays. Tray Webb, Colton Colston, Cameron Murray and Chase Marsh combined to win the 4×100-meter relay with a time of 51.52. Webb, Trevor Johnson, James Knight and Kylen Wilkinson won the 4×200-meter relay with a time of 1:49.76 and Knight, Colston, Johnson and Wilkinson won the 4×400-meter relay with a time of 4:17.91.
Individually, Jaden Whitney won two events, placing first in the discus with a throw of 130-8 and first in the shot put with a throw of 42-7. Marsh won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.32 and Lucas Clark won the pole vault with a mark of 8-6.
Trenton made up a lot of points with six second-place finishes and three third-place efforts.
Wilkinson was second in the shot put and 400-meter dash, Clark was third in the 800-meter run, Colston was third in the high jump, Johnson was second in the 100-meter hurdles and third in the long jump, Webb was second in the 200-meter dash, Ziccia Elder was second in the 800-meter run, Cole Schilling was second in the 1,600-meter run and Knight was second in the triple jump.
Trenton’s middle school track and field teams will be back on the track on Thursday, traveling to Unionville for the Putnam County Junior High Relays. Events are set to begin at 4 p.m.
