The Missouri State High School Activities Association completed its bi-annual class and district shakeup for basketball and football over the weekend. Trenton will remain in Class 2, District 8 in football and will again be joined by Brookfield, LeBlond, Lathrop, Lawson, Lexington and Carrollton. The only change to the district is the addition of East Buchanan, which replaces Plattsburg.
On the basketball court, Trenton’s teams will be moved to Class 3, District 15 after previously playing in District 16. Trenton is joined in the district by Brookfield, Carrollton, Higginsville, Lawson, Lexington, Richmond and Chillicothe, which drops down and becomes the largest Class 3 team in the state.
New alignments go into effect this fall at the beginning of the school year.
