Two area communities will hold forums addressing transportation funding issues.
The forums will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16 at the Linn County Career and Tech Center in Brookfield and the Daviess County Library in Gallatin on Friday, April 18, also 4 to 6 p.m. The Green Hills Regional Planning Commission and the Missouri Department of Transportation are holding the forums, which will focus on a proposal that outlines ways to increase transportation funding as well as ensure care of the existing system. The proposal would lead to a constitutional amendment to be voted on by citizens.
Members of the public, as well as elected officials in the nine-county RPC region are encouraged to attend one of the two forums. For more information, persons can contact RPC Transportation Planner Lance Rains at [email protected] or RPC Executive Director Randy Railsback at [email protected].
