Pirates Visit Trenton Head Start

North Central Missouri College student athletes visited Trenton Head Start on Wednesday as part of the college’s Scholastic Book Fair. The visit was coordinated by the NCMC Student Senate and the library in an effort to promote child literacy. The Student Senate bought new books and the library organized a book collection so the Head Start students could have books to take home. Above, Pirates’ baseball player Cody Lee reads to children at the event along with Cap’n Patch. Donnie Hillerman, Student Senate sponsor and NCMC Head Baseball Coach, and Beth Caldarello, college librarian, facilitated the event with assistance from Lynda Snuffer and Jamie Tanno.
