Pink was all the rage on Tuesday, Feb. 18, as the Newtown-Harris Tigers faced off against the Novinger Wildcats during their Senior Night/PINK OUT basketball game. The Newtown-Harris HOSA chapter hosted their first PINK OUT game. Students, faculty, staff and fans all wore pink shirts to show their support, includiing all ballplayers from both teams as well as their coaches. During halftimes of both games, several activities took place such as pies in faces, forming an awareness ribbon and an auction of a pink and white basketball. Other donations included money to put Superintendant Dr. Bryan Copple and Principal Misty Foster on the roof of the elementary building. Money was also raised from t-shirt sales. A total of $2,100 was raised for donation to the American Cancer Society.
