Several area teams saw basketball action on Tuesday night as Gilman City, Mercer, Grundy R-5 and Tri-County all saw HDC Conference action and the teams from Princeton faced off with Gallatin in a Grand River Conference doubleheader.
Grundy R-5 Girls 50
Tri-County Girls 32
The Grundy R-5 girls scored a conference victory over Tri-County, jumping out to a 19-4 lead in the first quarter and never looking back. The Lady Panthers were paced by Elizabeth Novak, who had 16 points, 10 steals and three assists. Matana Munday added 15 points and 11 rebounds and Mckenna Owens had 12 points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Emily Milazzo had seven points, six rebounds and five steals for the Lady Panthers, who moved to 4-16 with the win.
Tri-County, meanwhile, was led by 12 points from Leeza Siddoway and 11 from Tayluer Dunks. Katana Almond added seven for the Lady Mustangs, who fell to 0-18 with the loss.
Grundy R-5 Boys 76

The Grundy boys picked up yet another win, topping Tri-County after racing out to a 22-8 first-quarter lead. Grundy outscored Tri-County in each of the remaining three quarters as well, pulling away for the win.
Destin Gann scored 25 points and had 11 rebounds to pace the Panthers. Mason Larson added 18 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists and Cade Mullenix chipped in with 14 points and six assists. Clayton Radcliff gave Grundy seven points and five assists.
For the Mustangs, four players reached double figures, including Dillon Cook with 14, Nate Sutton with 12, Tyler Lane with 10 and Jonathan Swymeler with 10.
The Panthers moved to 16-6 on the season with the win, while Tri-County fell to 6-14.
Mercer Girls 57
Gilman City Girls 37
The Mercer girls moved to 22-1 on the season with a 20-point victory over Gilman City.
The Lady Hawks, who fell to 13-8 on the season with the loss, were paced by Mikayla Toombs, who scored 11 points. No scores from Mercer were available as of press time.

Gilman City Boys 12
The Mercer boys had no trouble blowing out Gilman City for an HDC Conference win. Garrett Noe led Mercer with 20 points, Grant Widner and Galt Porter each scored 10 and Larramie Moore finished with eight.
With the win, Mercer improved to 13-10 on the season while Gilman City fell to 0-19.
Gallatin Girls 58
Princeton Girls 22
The Gallatin girls ran out to a 25-3 lead on Princeton in the first quarter and never looked back, handing the Lady Tigers a lopsided GRC loss.
Princeton was paced by 10 points from Paige Phillips and Trinity Kile added five. Jasey Smith scored four points and Rachelle Parks finished with three.
With the loss, Princeton fell to 7-16 overall and 1-7 in GRC play.
Gallatin Boys 65

The Princeton boys found themselves in a 17-8 hole after a quarter of play and spent the rest of the night chasing Gallatin. The Bulldogs would stretch the lead throughout the contest, handing the Tigers a 19-point loss in the end.
Hunter Boxley led Princeton with 18 points. Steffan Elliott added six points and Adam Millburn, Drew Cox and Jason McLain each scored five points. Princeton also got three points each from Jordan Adams and Justin Hamilton and Brant Faulkner finished with one point.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 14-10 overall and 2-7 in the Grand River Conference.
