Freezin’ 4 A Reason

Feb 11, 2014 | Announcements, School News

The Trenton High School Student Council and Science Olympiad will be pumping gas on Saturday, Feb. 15 to raise money for “Freezin’ 4 a Reason” through the Special Olympics.
Instead of getting out in the cold, THS students will pump gas for customers at Casey’s and TNT convenience stores on Ninth and 28th streets from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. All tips earned will go toward student entry fees to take the “Polar Bear Plunge.” Each entry fee is $75 and THS has 10 students who are willing to take the plunge to show their support for Special Olympics. The “Polar Bear Plunge” will take place at Lake Viking near Gallatin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22.
Students have also been raising money throughout the school year by selling tickets for a drawing, which can still be purchased at high school home basketball games. The drawing will take place at Trenton’s final home game on Thursday, Feb. 20.
