The Green City boys basketball team was named the 2013 North Central Missouri College Foundation Holiday Hoops Sportsmanship Award winner. The team was presented a plaque Tuesday night between games in Green City. Making the presentation to Coach Donnie Fields and his team were Hoops Committee members Ron Dougan, Steve Maxey, Steve Perry and Don Warren. Dougan and Promotional Concepts donated the award as they have for the past six years. The award is presented to one boys and one girls team selected by members of the Hoops steering committee, game officials, hosts and the general public. The St. Joseph Lafayette girls won the girls’ award and will be presented their award in February.
