Junior Varsity Teams Split With Brookfield

Trenton picked up a junior varsity split with Brookfield on Friday night at home. The Lady Bulldogs fell 23-21 in the girls’ contest, but the Bulldogs picked up a 65-50 win in the boys’ match-up.
The Trenton girls were locked in a close game, but a pair of Brookfield free throws with less than 20 seconds left in the game proved to be the difference.
Lana Raymo led the way for the Lady Bulldogs with eight points and Jaylen Neff added six. Trenton also got five points from Tenna Roberts and two from Jordain Oshel.
With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs’ JV team fell to 4-1 on the season.
The Bulldogs jumped ahead 17-9 in the first quarter and held the advantage for the entire game, winning by 15 points in the end.
Trenton (5-0) was paced by Brice Dillon and Spencer Harris, both of whom scored 20 points in the win. Dillon added 13 rebounds, two steals and two assists while Harris added seven rebounds and two assists. Trenton also got eight points, six rebounds and three steals from Connor Cotton and eight points from Ryan Hines. Corbyn Guile, Colton Ellis, Eli Leininger and Nate Swann all scored two points each and Jonathan Lamp finished with one.
Trenton’s freshmen and JV boys teams will host Gallatin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
