Alice M. Hatcher, a 61-year-old resident of Galt, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 1, 2014, at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. Rev. Stan Richardson will officiate.
The body will be cremated after the service.
A family visitation is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Hatcher was born Nov. 3, 1952 in Clementine, IA, the daughter of Marion Frederick and Lillian Purdin Morris. She grew up in Osborn, graduating from Osborn High School.
She was married to Richard Hatcher on July 3, 1970. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1994.
She graduated from North Central Missouri College with an associate’s degree in business. She lived the last six years at the Galt Rental Housing, where she was the manager.
She attended the Galt Christian Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Charity, Christina, and Angela, all of Galt, and Elizabeth of Altamont; a sister, Lillian Moore, and a brother, John Morris, both of Cameron; and 10 grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Morris; a grandson, Damian Eads; and two nieces, Katherene Morris and Lillian Morris.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Alice Hatcher Memorial Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
