Funeral services for Doris Pressler will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Trenton. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
A visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mrs. Pressler, an 83-year-old resident of Joliet, IL and former Trenton resident, died at 4:57 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at Presence Villa Franciscan Nursing Home in Joliet, IL.
Mrs. Pressler was born on May 15, 1930 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Watson and Nada Maddison Sinclair.
She was married in Springfield, IL on Feb. 20, 1949 to Irven Pressler, who preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2001. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Trenton and the King Hill Christian Church in St Joseph.
She is survived by four children, Kurt Pressler of Colorado Springs, CO, Kim Turner of Joliet, IL, Kevin Pressler of Forney, TX and Kristi Pressler of St. Joseph; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers; seven sisters; and a grandson, Adam Pressler.
