Barbra Jean Gallipeo, an 85-year-old resident of McMinnville, OR died on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at Hillside Manor in McMinnville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 at the chapel of Macy & Son with private burial at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. Open visitation will be from 4 to 7 o’clock this evening (Friday, Dec. 13, 2013) at the chapel.
Mrs. Gallipeo was born in Trenton on June 17, 1928, the daughter of Juddie Vern and Eula Bertha Hunter Hurt. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1946. She was married at Sparks, NV in 1949 to Carl Leeper, who preceded her in death in 1990. They lived in Alturas, CA before moving to McKinleyville in 1950.
Mrs. Gallipeo was then married on Aug. 26, 1992 in Reno, NV to Laurent Gallipeo, who survives of the home. The couple moved in 1996 moved to McMinnville to be closer to family.
She enjoyed square dancing, going to Braids and Braves Square Dance at the Grange, quilting, playing Mexican Train Dominoes and journaling.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Mary Lynette Padgett, Beverly Ann (James) Beaird-Leeper and Tommy Carl (Melissa Dawn) Leeper; grandchildren, Matthew Alexander Manago, Megan Melissa Jukic’, Nathan Joshua Leeper and Gabrielle Lynette Leeper; great-grandchildren, Taya Jayden Manago, Matthew Illia Jukic’, and Marin David Jukic’; and a sister, Mary Catherine Winters.
