Judge Steven D. Hudson
The following defendants pleaded guilty to their charges and paid their fines through the Fine Collection Center, with their names provided to the Republican-Times:
Dusky Baker, Trenton, pleaded guilty to having weight on a tandem axle exceeding the limit and was fined $745.
Jadde Blozvich, Trenton, pleaded guilty to passing a vehicle on the right and traveling off the main portion of the road and was fined $80.50.
Pleading guilty to speeding and fined $30.50 were Brent A. Ellingson, Monticello, MN; Caleb Gibson, DeSoto; Terry Koan, Kansas City; Garland Mason, Gilman City; Chatel Smith, Gallatin; and Tiffany Taul, Princeton.
Pleading guilty to failing to register a motor vehicle and fined $30.50 were John Hanson, Trenton; William Estes, Chillicothe; and Shelly Washburn, Princeton.
Gil Gilchrist, Ankeny, IA, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $55.50.
Daniel Harkins, Trenton, pleaded guilty to following another vehicle too closely and was fined $30.50.
Cheryl Klein, Gilman City, pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $55.50. She also pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Raymond Poortinga, Trenton, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license and was fined $80.50.
Associate Civil
Northwest Medical Center vs. Kurtis and Chasity Hollon. The court entered a consent judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $743.93 in the case, which involved a suit on account.
Asset Acceptance LLC vs. Toby D. and Jeannie Griffin. The court entered a default judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $4,435.69. The case involved a suit on account.
US Bank National Assoc. vs. Amy and Matthew Thrasher. The court entered a consent judgment in favor of the plaintiff, with the premises at 827 McPherson St., returned to the plaintiff.
Portfolio Recovery Associ-ates vs. Sherry Spears. A consent judgment in the amount of $1,056.21 was entered in favor of the plaintiff in the case, which involved a suit on account.
Discover Bank vs. Jessica L. Baker. A consent judgment was entered in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $1,923.91. The case involved breach of contract.
Portfolio Recovery Associ-ates vs. Christina Ishmael. The court entered a default judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $696.57. The case involved breach of contract.
Saint Luke’s Health System vs. Kimberly S. and Daniel A. Ellis. The court entered a default judgment in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $16,908.50. The case involved a suit on account.
Municipal Division
Judge Steven D. Hudson
John Smiley, 2641 S. 31st St., was found guilty of assault and was fined $100 and $37.50 costs.
Kimberly K. Jacobs, 45, 1600 Pleasant Plain, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and was sentenced to serve 30 days in the Grundy County Detention Center. She also pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. She was sentenced to serve 15 days in the Grundy County Detention Center on each charge. All of her sentences are to run concurrently and she was given credit for time served. She is to pay $37.50 costs on each charge.
