Harry Cox, a 74-year-old Bethany resident and formerly of Raytown, died on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 at a Bethany nursing home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at the Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial will be in Miriam Cemetery at Bethany.
Family visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. General visitation begins at 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
Mr. Cox was born on Nov. 20, 1939 in Trenton, the son of Burl and Ruth Virginia Campbell Cox.
He is survived by a daughter, Cindy Cox of Kansas City; a son, Garrett (Pam) Cox of Coffey; a sister, Mary Blessing of Albuquerque, NM; a brother, Jon E. Cox of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife,Virginia. a brother, Boyd Cox; a daughter, Susan Cox; and a granddaughter, Jeanie Cox.
