Philippa Yvonne Fuller, an 89-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at Pearl’s II Eden for Elders at Princeton.
The body was cremated under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Princeton. Memorial services and burial will be at a later date at the Mose Clark Cemetery in Climax Springs.
Mrs. Fuller was born on Sept. 28, 1924 in London, England, the daughter of Vernon and Doris Dover Cox. She came to America in1927 and lived in Vineland, NJ, where she graduated from high school and met her future husband, Leland C. “Lee” Fuller, who was stationed at Cape May, NJ, serving with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. They were married in New Jersey in 1943 and moved to Osceola, IA, where Lee had a chiropractic practice. She became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1959.
She worked as a dog groomer in Des Moines, IA. She also enjoyed cooking, singing, spending time with her family and always enjoyed a good joke.
She is survived by two sons, Greg Fuller and his wife, Toni of Climax Springs and John Fuller of Fort Smith, AR; two granddaughters, Lindsay and Sarah Fuller of Springfield; three great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; one great, great-grandson; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee, in November 1990; and by her son, Mark Fuller.
